History and the Bible Series – The Practices and Purposes of Sacrifice throughout Human History
The course will investigate the types and purposes of sacrifice that peoples have practised since the earliest of times. While there are some similarities in the rituals and beliefs of many societies, there were some barbaric and occult forms. The uniqueness of the Jewish sacrificial system will be considered as well as the profound nature of Christ’s sacrificial death.
