History and the Bible Series- Basis for Belief

Rob our tutor will offer four discussion forums throughout 2024. The first in the series is called Basis for Belief and commences on the 6 February.

How do we test the reliability of a belief system? An investigation into the
religious and philosophical beliefs that have shaped Western thinking; The differences between
Eastern (Asian) and Western (European) belief systems; The rise and fall of the influence of the
Church in Western history; The impact of atheistic ideologies in the modern world; The difference in
perspectives between us and our grandchildren.
