Golf Group – Social

U3A Social Golf is a class based on learning golf skills, improving golf skills and Socialising with fellow golfers. At no time during our playing golf are we set on winning at all costs as we are not playing for Sheep Stations. Our schedule for the year is to play several types of competitions to on Club handicap events such as 3 Clubs and Putter are included in the mix.

2026 Season will commence on January 11th with handicapping games so we can adjust handicaps for the start of our competitive Season which will commence on February 2nd. Prior to this we will be having a game each week to work out your handicaps for those not having an AGU handicap.

Games are played on a Monday afternoon commencing around 12.00pm and we ask all players to arrive at Carbrook Golf Club no later than 11.30 am. Cost at this stage will be $20 for green fees and $20,00 pe term for Prizes such as balls for approach shots and nearest the pin prizes. Green Fees are paid to the ProShop on arrival each week and Prize levy is paid to me . A BSB and Account will be sent to you with a request to pay . If you don’t pay, then you are not eligible to receive NTPs and Approaches or Vouchers for Monthly Medals.

Each year we start with approximately 40 players, and we have additions which can swell our numbers, but we can only ever put 48 players out on the course.  Players always email their nominations in for the first couple of weeks and then we put out a list . If 1ou are not on the list and should be you contact Max Broad y on 0488079141 . If you can’t play you contact Max. We will explain in more detail at our first day which is January 11th.
